OMA Togo delivers safely in the harbour

The logistics team at OMA Togo, along with Sea Tanker in France, arranged the shipment of the Free Fall rescue boat from France to Lome.

Once OMA had received the boat, arranged secure storage and customs clearance the next part of the operation involved transport to the MV Adour, berthed at the Oil Jetty in Lome.

The Free Fall was transferred on an OMA truck to the quay where our crane safely lifted it to float in the harbour basin. The tug (Bosser) – part of the fleet of tugs owned by our sister company, TOM – then took over the operation of towing it alongside the MV Adour. Capt Le Merrer lifted it on board his vessel to complete the logistics operation. This operation was achieved efficiently and on time due in no small part to the excellent cooperation between the many parties involved in Europe, Togo and the Captain on board – which ensured safe delivery of this vital piece of equipment for one of our key clients.
